I built this business by listening to customers, improving the product, and putting their work first. We did not take outside investment. I wanted decisions grounded in what helps people do their jobs, not in what looks good in a pitch deck.

Dodeca began with a practical observation: finance teams needed the flexibility of spreadsheets and the power of Essbase, but they also needed a more controlled way to build, distribute, and maintain critical reporting.
Applied OLAP was founded in 1998. The company launched Dodeca in 2006 and has continued to expand the platform around the real work of reporting, planning, data integration, and analysis.
Drillbridge joined the product family in 2015, followed by the Dodeca Excel Add-In for Essbase in 2017 and continued integrations with modern Oracle Cloud EPM environments.
In 2026, Applied OLAP changed its company name to Dodeca, the same name as its flagship product. As technology changes, the company keeps direct customer support and difficult reporting problems at the center of its work.

Our team
Founder and President
Tim founded the company and has worked with Oracle Essbase since 1995. His areas of expertise include Essbase technology, the Java API, and Excel. He is an Oracle ACE Alumni and was among the early Excel experts recognized by Microsoft as a Most Valuable Professional. Before founding the company, Tim worked as a consultant, financial analyst, and CPA.
Chief Security Officer and VP of Engineering
Jason leads product engineering and security. His career spans store operations, financial-systems development, solution architecture, consulting, and software development. Before joining Dodeca, he created Drillbridge. Jason is an Oracle ACE Alumni and a frequent contributor to the EPM community.
VP of Customer and Partner Success
Julie ensures that Dodeca's enterprise customers realize the full value of their investment and that partners have the expertise and support they need to bring Dodeca solutions to their clients. Her career combines Oracle partner consulting experience with finance leadership roles, including Director of Finance and Controller. She brings a CPA’s understanding of finance to the way Dodeca communicates and supports customer value.
Technical Solutions Director
Tim supports sales, product education, training, and customer solutions. He is an Oracle Essbase Certified Implementation Specialist, an Oracle ACE Alumni, a frequent conference speaker, and a long-time contributor to the Essbase community.
Chief Marketing Officer
Janet leads Dodeca’s marketing strategy and execution, bringing deep experience in software and technology. She connects customer insight, content, and strategy to create moments that matter, building meaningful engagement with prospects and customers that strengthens relationships, creates community, and fuels sustainable growth.
Chief Revenue Officer
Leary leads the company’s go-to-market strategy and revenue growth. A seasoned entrepreneur, strategist, and advisor, Leary has spent more than four decades helping technology companies sharpen their market positioning, accelerate growth, and create customer value. He brings a distinctive blend of strategic thinking, sales leadership, and executive experience to Dodeca’s growth.
Director of Business Development
Andrew leads strategic partnerships and enterprise business development at Dodeca. With more than 20 years of experience at companies including Oracle, Cognizant, and insightsoftware, he brings deep expertise in EPM, ERP, cloud solutions, and business transformation. Andrew helps CFOs and FP&A leaders improve planning, reporting, and decision-making through innovative financial performance management solutions.
Customers do not get passed between a sales layer and a support layer that never speaks to the product team. They work with people who understand both the technology and the business process around it.
